UR Small Groups

Don’t do life alone.

Life is better in circles than in rows.

What is a Small Group?

It can be easy to get lost in the crowd. But, we were created to be intimately known. It's in relationship with others that God often speaks to our hearts. By joining a Small Group community, you'll learn to walk humbly along your journey with Christ.

When & where do groups meet?

Small Groups meet from September through May. Join a group at any time throughout the year. Groups are composed of 10-15 people and meet at a variety of times and locations throughout South Minneapolis, Richfield, and the surrounding area.

How often do groups get together?

Each Small Group determines how often and how long they’d like to meet. For many groups, this means getting together once a week or twice a month for an hour or two. Many groups share a weekly meal together as part of their gathering routine.

What types of material do groups study?

Study materials vary from group to group. Many groups will dig in deeper to Urban Refuge Sunday morning messages, while others explore topics of interest in published bible studies, devotional books, video lectures, or fellowship guides.

How long do groups typically last?

Small Groups organize in September and meet through May, usually taking a break around Christmas for a couple of weeks. Many times, as genuine relationships are formed, groups continue gathering for multiple years as members do life together.
